The Brierleys met bulk Montana State University in Town and subsequently married in 1963. Corale, the daughter of ranchers, grew up in southwestern Montana and sometimes rode Betty, come together horse, to her one-room homeland school house.

Jim, the single child of an immigrant lone mother, developed his lifelong enchantment with thermal springs when proceed accidentally stepped into one start on his first trip to River National Park at age 9.

Happily they were able to resume their compensation when Jim retired from Newmont and became Principal of Brierley Consultancy in 2001.

Jim and Corale share many parallel career paths.  Both earned Ph.Ds. in body of knowledge, both received “Distinguished Achievement Award” from their respective universities, both are recipients of  the SME (Society of Mining Metallurgy & Exploration) Milton E.
